The town of Kandern, where the property is
situated, is a small quaint German town in
black-forest with rich history, attractions,
restaurants, and shops, so you never have to venture to far out to get a hold of any basics. However, venture outside of Kandern and you have the heartland of Western Europe on your doorstep. The German wellness town of Badenweiler is only eight miles away, to the west just over the French border you have the famed town of Mulhouse and sixteen miles to the south lies the Beautiful swiss city of Basel.
Kandertalbahn
The KANDERTALBAHN is one of the few railroads in Germany
(and the only standard-gauge branch line in Baden-Württemberg) that operates purely as a museum railroad.
Kanderner Pool
The Kanderner Freibad, an open air swimming pool, is open daily during the summer season (the middle of May to the middle of September), with lifeguards in attendance at all times.
There is also a safe sheltered place for your little water babies to learn to swim or just enjoy splashing about. The pool is only heated by a small solar heating system, so the conditions are like swimming in a mountain lake! On a hot summer day this is a great place for cooling off.
There are changing rooms with showers (also heated by the sun). The buildings are a little dated, but function well, and add to the feeling that you have stepped back in time. The first pool at this location was opened in 1929!
Golf
Give your mind a rest and relax while enjoying a round of golf. The "Markgräflerland" Golf Club Kandern extends over 72 hectares and is located in the beautiful countryside.
The 18-hole course includes gentle inclines with generous fairways and undulating greens. Superb panorama delights you at every stroke.
Guests should make reservations to ensure the customary welcome.

Rafting, canoë-kayak, hydrospeed : In Alsace, white water sports can be practiced on the river of white water park Huningue.
